Collin Wischmeyer
Data Engineer
Collin is a data engineer and an advocate for free and open access to knowledge. His work centers on building systems that coalesce data and help stakeholders turn complex information into meaningful insights. Across his career, Collin has focused on creating data infrastructure that is transparent, reliable, and suitable for long-term use.
Professionally, Collin has spent the past seven years designing and operating data platforms in both large, established organizations and small start-up environments. His professional work has focused on building and maintaining the data systems that support analytics, experimentation, and decision-making at scale. In his personal life, Collin contributes to open-source, community-driven projects and collaborates with academic researchers to enable the discovery and application of scientific insights. This work has led to both the publication of academic research and implementation-focused partnerships with public-sector organizations in his adopted hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Moreover, these experiences have shaped Collin's belief that technical work is most meaningful when it serves social good and inspires real-world impact.
Collin is especially motivated by efforts that expand access - to structured data, to scientific insights, and to the infrastructure that enables both. He is drawn to work grounded in transparency, long-term thinking, and collaboration with the communities that rely on the systems being built.
