What Grapevine Is
Imagine you could effectively copy and paste a breakthrough climate solution from one city to the next. That's Grapevine.
As national efforts in the United States are rolled back, cities, states, and other local jurisdictions have the power to reduce emissions and benefit communities. Yet, many of these jurisdictions encounter a too-familiar breakdown between their ambition and realized execution.
Our Grapevine initiative is developing a tool to close this gap. Of course, each place on the map has a unique history and different factors at play. We can’t simply copy and paste policies and programs, so we’re developing a way to quickly and effectively translate solutions. Grapevine identifies adaptive strategies that can be implemented across the U.S., equipping smaller governments to turn climate commitments into on the ground outcomes.
