Our Action Research Center draws on policy experts, academics, artists, activists, and industry voices for bold new approaches. We test and scale the best ideas for everything from clean energy and transportation to how we build cities, where we grow carrots, the jobs people have, and the way we tell stories.
Our Action Research method means that investigation is designed for application, making the words and numbers useful— fast.
Maybe it’s an unlikely partnership: Adam Met, rock star, and Mila Rosenthal, human rights activist. Adam’s resume includes playing arena shows from Chicago to Seoul; Mila directed campaigns at the United Nations and Amnesty International.
But it turned out we share a nerd-level commitment to research - we both studied for PhD’s along the way - combined with a restless impatience about the slow pace of change and certainty that there was untapped creativity to move it faster.
In 2020, we mixed it all together for Planet Reimagined to start incubating new ideas: conducting original research that surveys hundreds of thousands of event goers and analyzes hundreds of local organizations to work with major music tours; driving policy and data analysis to unlock millions of acres of land for new wind and solar energy; and promoting neo-industrial solutions to meet the moment for revolutionary change. When ideas aren’t promising enough, we move on, failing faster so we can try something better. When solutions are worth building, we bring together communities, technology, businesses, creators, universities, policymakers – everything and everyone, as much as possible – to make them real.
